What happens when you take an epileptic, convent-educated Catholic girl of Irish extraction, raise her in a hospital, send her to theatre school, follow that with law school and add in a failed marriage? You get a hard-boiled criminal lawyer with "Issues" who is completely irreverent and sees the world through a lens of comedy, her own insecurities and an unreliable frontal lobe. Despite often insurmountable obstacles, laughter, poignancy and insight are staples in her writing - even when the rest of the world seems to be collapsing around her ears.

Her stories about the challenges of love, life, work, health, relationships and the two cats that keep her company through it all have been published here for over 8 years.

Unfortunately, she's been pretty sick this last year, and thanks to the generous donations of her readers, she was able to keep afloat financially until she was back on her feet.
