I take responsibility for my own security. No one pays my way. The only person who protects me from anything is me. I refuse to be intimidated and I simply will not live in fear.

I don't understand people who continue to sit and wallow in their sadness and sorrow. Bad things happen to everyone. Why are you still clinging to your "terrible childhood" at the age of 25? I know you've been seeing your shrink for years. Haven't you learned to let it go and get on with your life? I am a survivor of incest too but I worked it out and I hardly think about it anymore. It's over because I chose to end it. I've healed because I worked on it. I've put that experience in it's proper place and got on with my life.

I really believe that if your life sucks, it's because you choose to let it. You need to quit whining and do something about your life.

Even if I could, I wouldn't go back and change anything about my life. I have lived through many experiences (good, bad, and indifferent) that made me who I am. I choose to own these experiences because they have made me who I am and I am not going to change that for anybody.
