Hmmm...I don't know *why* I'm a Heartless Bitch, or even if I really am, but I seem be perceived that way...albeit mostly by the voluminously vapid. I'm suspicious of "niceness" because most of the adherents to the Cult of Nice are profoundly shallow (I rather like the juxtaposition of those two words!) and, in the end, ironically, not really very nice at all!

I am enamoured of the naughty, the ribald, the bon mot, and the well-aimed barb. I'm drawn to people who know the difference between "being mean" and "having an opinion", and I'm rather fond of cynics.

But perhaps the attribute that best defines what simpletons seem to regard as my bitchiness is that I do not suffer fools gladly.
