Let me tell you about whiners...
I am a 25 year old first year veterinary student who has worked her
ass off to get into a program that only allows 35% of all applicants in.
I put in my time cleaning up shit, blood, piss and working long hours at a
clinic. I quit a decent social work position because I was tired of listening
to other people rant and rave about the raw deal they've been dealt in life.
Last year I found out I was accepted into school and I was working with a guy
that was also applying, let's call him "dillhole". Dillhole, needless to say
did not get in and was convinced that I 'took' his spot in the class. Let me
point out that he didn't even get on an alternate list, he flunked 3 courses,
had a shitty GPA and was an all around loser. He insisted that I got into
school because I was a woman and he was just a poor, white boy.
I spent 8 months of my life having to work around this asshole and listen to
his constant whining about how he never was given a break. Poor fucking baby!
He is the same age as me but somehow he thought he was entitled to some sort of
freebie in life. If there was ever a price to pay for success it was having to
see him on a daily basis. I was told by numerous associates that he would
sit in their office for hours whining that I did not deserve to get into vet
school. For some reason the fact that I had only decided to go to vet school
in the last 3 years and he had wanted it for 7 years made him automatically
more qualified. He never took into account the fact that I have a 4.0 GPA
(even in the midst of a divorce), have started my own non-profit organization
for animal welfare and community education on pet care, that I have done
my share of community service, or that I am one fucking smart bitch.
We're talking about a guy who failed every test in organic chemistry and then
begged for a better grade when the semester was over because he felt like he
(here's that word again) deserved it. However the teacher said
"No, dillhole you got an 'F' because that's what you
earned and because I think you're an 'F' student." -- Chalk one up for the
guy from the old school.
Let me also point out that this dillhole once admitted to me that he killed
his girlfriend's ex-husband's cat and nailed him to a mailbox! --Like I want
this guy poking around on my pet!?
I have done more in my life than these fucking whiners because I have had the
motivation and the ability to do it. I don't sit on my ass saying "Oh poor
little me" and I don't make it a habit to feel sorry for myself.
I would like to say that my generation in particular thinks that they should be
handed things on a silver platter instead of working their ass off for it.
And I have heard on more than one occasion that these kids think employers
should be grateful for having them around. I say to all those whiners, and
self-pitying fools to GET OFF YOUR LAZY ASS AND DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!
I'm tired of hearing that a teacher did not give you the grade you deserve
even if you sat on your ass and picked your nose all semester. I'm tired of
hearing about quotas, I'm tired of hearing that good guys never get a break,
I'm tired of hearing that you deserve more or better.
I say if you want something go for it and fuck everything else. My motto in
life is "GET OVER IT" and that applies to everything.
One last rant: To my ex-husband-- You couldn't handle being with someone smarter
than you or more successful than you, so like some chicken shit you ran off
with all my stuff in the middle of the day. People like you define the word
"wuss". While I know you will go on to have a miserable a life, I want you
to know you did me the biggest favor of all by leaving. Now that I am rid of your
dead weight, I can go on to accomplish all that is possible without your
insistent cry-babying in the background, Thank you.
